The First Blank Page

There is something quietly beautiful about leaving the first page of a notebook empty.

It is not merely an unused page.

It is a pause.

The first page stands at the beginning of everything, yet we choose not to fill it. Perhaps because beginnings deserve a little silence before they become words.

Maybe that empty page is a place for everything we haven't written yet—the thoughts that haven't found their language, the stories that haven't happened, the mistakes we haven't made, and the dreams that are still waiting for a name.

It is a small act of permission.

Not every space has to be productive.

Not every page has to carry something.

Not everything beautiful needs to be filled.

And perhaps, years later, when the notebook is full of hurried handwriting, crossed-out sentences, important dates, silly thoughts, and pieces of who we once were, that first blank page will still remain.

A quiet beginning.

A reminder that before we became words,we were silence.
