THE ACT OF IGNORANCE.

Ignorance is often mistaken for the absence of knowledge. In truth, it is far more dangerous when it becomes the refusal to understand, to listen, or to question ourselves. A person who is ignorant doesn't merely lack information—they may unknowingly carry certainty without wisdom. And certainty, when detached from understanding, can quietly become a threat.

Within a family, ignorance can wear the face of dismissal. It tells a child that their feelings are "just a phase," a partner that their silence means they're fine, or an elder that their fears are an inconvenience. Over time, love begins to suffocate beneath assumptions. Relationships don't always break because people stop caring; sometimes they break because no one cared enough to understand.
