There are days when I feel as though something inside me has turned mechanical. Life moves without pause—work, responsibilities, chores—and before I know it, the day is over. Every morning begins the same way, and every night ends with the same exhaustion. It feels as though I'm living the same day over and over again.
I hate this version of myself.
Not because I've become a different person, but because, by the end of each day, an unbearable amount of stress and mental pressure leaves me drained. I miss the peaceful days when I was patient, cheerful, and easy to be around. The girl who laughed without forcing herself to. The girl who treated life as a journey instead of a race.
Lately, I find myself losing patience over the smallest things. I speak sharply to my siblings, and almost immediately, regret settles in. They don't deserve my frustration. They deserve the sister who guides them, supports them, and makes them feel safe. Instead, I often leave them wondering what they did wrong, when the truth is that the battle was never with them.
The same happens with my parents.
Whenever I share my worries, they respond with advice, concern, or questions. They only want to help, yet my mind, already overwhelmed, interprets their words as more pressure. I answer with irritation when all they have offered me is love.
Later, the guilt arrives.
It sits beside me in silence, reminding me of every harsh word, every unnecessary reaction, every moment I wish I could take back.
I often wonder where my old self disappeared.
The person who laughed more, complained less, and carried kindness so naturally. Somewhere along the way, responsibilities grew heavier, expectations became louder, and I slowly lost pieces of myself without even noticing.
Yet despite everything, there are moments that fill my heart with warmth.
I love hearing my elder sister laugh. I love watching her guide my younger siblings with patience and affection. They look up to her, trust her, and find comfort in her presence. Seeing that reminds me of the kind of person I once hoped to become.
Sometimes, all I long for is an afternoon where I can simply sit with my family—sharing a meal, talking without arguments, laughing without pretending, and forgetting, even for a little while, the weight that life places on our shoulders.
I don't need extraordinary happiness.
I don't need a perfect life.
I just need one peaceful day.
A day that belongs to no deadlines, no responsibilities, no regrets.
Just one day...
For me.

Author's Note:
I wrote these thoughts years ago in the pages of my diary. Reading them today, I can see how much I've changed—and yet, how deeply I still understand the person who wrote them. I decided not to hide these words anymore. Perhaps someone else needs to know they're not alone.
